Day 10: Stop Counting The Days
Happy Monday, friend. I hope you have a great start to your week!
When you have a goal or event, it's very easy to count the days until it's here. In high school, I would write on the whiteboard above my bed how many days were left until the state meet.
While I do think it can be good to mark the days and let that excite you as you get closer, I prefer the mindset: Don't count the days; make the days count.
Be where your feet are. Instead of focusing on something weeks or months in advance, focus on what you can do in that very moment to make that day count.
Show up each day with the mindset of "How can I get better today? How can I make today count?" If you can do this, you'll set yourself up much better than simply counting the days and going through the motions because you have a while between now and the event.
What are you going to do today to make it count? Set up your week for success by nailing today.
